History

The Annapoorna Eye Hospital celebrates its 25 years in 2016. The Hospital was established in 1990, initially started as a charitable trust to provide helping hand to the patients and has been rendering services to the rural areas of Mysore.

We are committed in providing high quality eye care, using the most modern technologies at very affordable costs to all sections of society.  We are committed to do several community out reach programs/camps to prevent / correct blindness in the under privileged socio-economic sections of society.

In Mysore we introduced Eye screening mobile van to public and providing free eye screening for the needy patients in Mysore.


1990 – Annapoorna Charitable trust was established
2000 – Beginning of special outreach camps in association with National Programmer for control of Blindness (NPCB)
2005 – Performed 3000 surgeries in a year, Introduction of 2 fully equipped state of the art mobile vans for rural & community eye care.
2010 – Reached 10000 eye surgeries with Micro surgical IOL implants and outreach camps expanded across, Mysore, Mandya & Chamarajanagar district.
2016 – With Charitable trust we have reached 30000 eye surgeries with specialized equipment and dedicated team work.
